New energy sources
                             Large energy projects 
                            
                              - During 2014 studies were  started which covered certain aspects of planning to build a nuclear  infrastructure in Macedonia. 
A Study  of Human Resource Development was made (FEIT). 
                              A study  was started on seismicity of locations Mariovo and Krivolak (IZIIS). 
                              Started  the preparation of study for connection of the nuclear power plant to the  transmission network (MEPSO). 
                            
                              - In 2014, the IAEA financed the project MAK2006 which has a primary  objective to train Macedonian personnel to use the IAEA methodology in energy  planning for consumption (consumers) and sources of electricity in Macedonia  through the MAED software. 
- Preparation of  documentation and application for the project with the IAEA - Vienna for  technical assistance for the project cycle 2016/2017 on the topic: Support the development  of a nuclear energy program in the Republic Macedonia. 
- Start (preparation) of a  program to inform the public through presentations, interviews etc. 
- Participation on several  seminars, trainings, among which: 
                                - 1.09-12. 9.2014, the IAEA held a two-week training in Skopje, on which  two experts from the IAEA presented MAED programming software for energy  planning. The training included  experts from ELEM, MEPSO and MANU. 
- 28.10-30.10.2014  the IAEA held a  regional workshop on topic "Methodology for objective assessment of the  potential role of nuclear power in the energy mix" -Bucharest, Romania. 
- Cooperation with  regional countries - Bulgaria and Slovenia. Several meetings held with Bulgarian experts on topics  of nuclear energy in the areas in which we can use the experiences from them,  as well as joint projects in the future.
